7 Adams at 1963 Sutter St, San Francisco, CA 94115. Reservation required.
Exciting news for food enthusiasts! A new Michelin star has graced San Francisco through 7 Adams, a new restaurant that just opened last November 2024. This fine dining restaurant presents a remarkable menu that is sure to tantalize your taste buds. Our recent visit to this restaurant two weeks ago left a lasting impression. The ambiance and flavors were truly exceptional.

The culinary adventure every night with 7 Adams serves 5-course tasting menu which they said is updated seasonally. New ingredients will be featured from time to time depending on the weather of the season.
This was the menu we had for the Valentines weekend.
One charming thing about the restaurant is that it has a very intimate space, where every corner makes you feel romantic. We made a reservation to dine in at their heated enclosed terrace and the atmosphere was simply beautiful. Heads up, their weekend reservation gets fully booked quickly. We snagged a 7:15pm table 4 weeks in advance.

Their 5-course dining experience is priced at $87 per person which is a remarkable value in the realm of fine dining. Thus, we couldn't resist a mere addition of $19 to have the supplemental appetizer, caviar tartlette. After all, a first visit deserves a touch of extravagance.

The menu course began with hokkaido scallop crudo and celery root bisque. Both have exquisite flavors but between the two, the richness and creaminess of the bisque was a celebration to our palate.

Celery Root Bisque with mushroom cream, hazelnut and pickled red onions
Our dinner was paired with Cabernet Sauvignon red wine "Storybook Mountain" which was highly recommended by the restaurant's sommelier and boy oh boy, so glad we took his advice. Every drop was a delight! Definitely a must-try.

The next part of the course was a choice between braised lamb ravioli, porcini tagliatelle and roasted cauliflower risotto. We opted to try the first two options and as expected, it didn't disappoint.

Porcini Tagliatelle with mushroom ragout, black bean miso and smoked parmesan
The main course is up next and it was a culinary masterpiece of  roasted black cod and snake river farm pork loin.

Snake River Farm Pork Loin with side dish of chipotle, cheddar grits and black trumpet
The main courses were incredible, but those side dishes? They truly stole the spotlight! Can't get enough of the grits. It was delicious and we wanted more!

And of course, every great meal deserves a sweet ending. Our favorite part of any meal - desserts!
Salted Malted S'mores with honey graham cracker cake, toasted marshmallow and chicory pastry cream
Winter Citrus with pistachio cake, lemon curd and bloody orange ice cream
Overall, the experience was a true celebration of culinary artistry. For a reasonable price, we had a taste of luxury. Everything was nothing short of divine. The 5 meal course was crafted to perfection and we will for sure come back for more. We are eyeing to experience their Chef's Counter which they said offers eight to ten courses, lasting approximately 2.5 hours of ultimate gastronomy. Can't wait to share that experience with you. Stay tuned!
